The client
Horsesmouth is an online social mentoring site for the Facebook generation. The e-mentoring site enables people over the age of 16 to give or receive guidance and support on the topics of learning, work and life.
The context
Gong Communications was introduced to Horsesmouth founder MT Rainey in 2007 with a view to providing media relations support to the company across the digital, media and business press.
The programme and results
We worked closely with Horsesmouth founder, MT Rainey, on a two-tiered communications strategy: to target a broad range of press pre-launch, and to conceive and deliver a press event to launch the site in January 2008.
Through this activity we secured broadsheet coverage in The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The Times and The Independent, and also in the Media Guardian.
